About Cara Bertozzi

I completed my undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Eastern University. After working for two years on a tumor immunology project under Dr Richard Carroll, I entered the PhD program in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Pennsylvania and joined Dr Mark Kahn's lab. My thesis work elucidated the role of platelets in the proper formation of blood vessels and lymphatics during mouse development. During this time, I became interested in epigenetic regulation and have recently joined Dr Jeannie Lee's lab as a postdoctoral research fellow where I plan to investigate the role of epigenetic regulation in tumorigenesis.
