Luke Chao

'The Chao lab explores molecular machines that shape sub-cellular architecture. We use biophysical approaches to reconstitute organelle dynamics, and structural methods (electron cryo-microscopy and electron cryo-tomography), to visualize protein-membrane assemblies in situ. Our goal is to understand mechanisms of organelle biogenesis and specialization.
